"Pull out your calendar
Set a deadline for each step. "This gives you a sense of urgency, which helps you get going," says Mark Riesenberg, author of How to Stop Whining and Starrt Winning. Resolve to spend several hours each week working toward your goal. For some goals, such as getting in shape for the summer, that may mean writing "Go to gym" on three calendar spaces each week for the next two months. Write down the weekly progress you hope to achieve."
